Numen/ For Use is a collective working in the fields of conceptual art, scenography, industrial and spatial design and was founded in 1998/99 by industrial designers Sven Jonke, Christoph Kathler and Nikola Radeljković.
Apart from award winning industrial design projects the collective concentrates on publicly exposed site-specific projects. Since 2008 Numen/ For Use has another strong focus on the configuration of objects and concepts without a predefined function, which results in more experimental works.

Being involved with neither just technical production nor with creation in the romantic sense, being by definition dialectical, Numen’s work attempts at reconciling thought with matter and zeitgeist, at bringing forth and materialising the undisclosed potential of the moment.

Exhibitions and awards include all fields of their widely set activities. Numen/ For Use cannot be reduced to industrial design, the collective has to be viewed by taking in the collective’s entire oeuvre.
